Death of a grape.

Not wanting to become wine,
Freed itself from the vine.
Down it came falling
But alas, now it's dying.
Landed on a sharp blade
Of a leaf, this young grape,
Met its death with an orchid.
One less fruit for me, or the kids,
Or the birds.

How sad!

I can't bear to see it impaled right through its heart...this seedless green grape.

Nice poem Mari, that's why I am giving you an award. Please take it if you have time :)

lady cess,
Pity the dying, if not a rhyme or a song is dedicated to it. Let it not rot on the way side unnoticed. He he he

To compost when it has decomposed. Har har har

Hmmm...it must be pouring.

nance,
Yeah, cute. I have wondered what it was at first; thought my orchid was blooming. LOL

I didn't have time to enlarge it before ... lol, how did that happened? one in a million chance! it must have dropped with just the right angle to be "planted" like that, on top of a leaf... and you're very observant to noticed and see the beauty in it.

nance,
Yup, one in a million. Isn't it freaky? I can take a picture of it again, in its raisin form. LOL

photo cache,
I just dabble in a bit of poetry. It's not the Robert Frost kind. He he

Thanks for the nice comment.

tutubi,
Don't say that. I was just rhyming.

hello mari,

i click sa pics. hindi ko nakuha ang meaning mo.

nakita ko yon pirasong grape ba yon...
akala ko fruit or flower, pero hindi naman grape plants....

mahina talaga ang IQ ni ako....

very nice and meaningful poem.........

vicki,
Don't worry. I, myself, at times have a hard time understanding what I read. Nahulog lang yung grape saka tumama sa dahon ng orchid. Natusok...at namatay siya. He he he

Salamat sa bisita mo.

Vk-mahalkaayo said...

oo nga mahina talaga mag-react ang utak ko..........
pagnakuha ko na ang meaning, matagal pa, siguro oras or days.....lol
late na.

kagabi naisip ko kung bakit "death of the grape".....
naisip ko, baka yon round-grape nahulog, natama or "natusok" sa leaves, yon patay cya....lol

thanks sa explanation ha?

That's amazing Mari....! Did it really fell and hit the point of that leaf on it's own....? This must be what they call accuracy of nature ha-ha....!

You know what, i've found a tiny wonder in my little balcony garden too yesterday....! I've discovered my Aloe vera plants with flowers....! I've never seen an Aloe vera flower before, i really thought that they're non-flowering plants....! =D
