The Mist
At times I see the mist
As the sun rises in the East.
I see it among the trees
Kissing the yellow, amber and green leaves;
Clinging to their branches and twigs;
Saying hello to birds and bees,
As they await the morning sunburst.
Life moves--a seed from ground would burst;
Behold! as leaves unfold seedlings;
Life awakens in all our surroundings.
The sun rises higher...and higher
The sun rises higher...and higher
The mist can no longer linger
And it's shape and form disappear--
Vanishing into thin air--
Dying in the atmosphere.
It reappears tomorrow
It reappears tomorrow
On every Green Pine bough
An end, there'll never be
As mist is born in every new dawn.

i feel this too when we go walking in the park or in the forest...
looking at the trees, hearing the breeze of the air....
blowing through the leaves...
singing and tweeting the birds....the sounds of the leaves......
oh, how i like your poem.....it´s super ,,,,,parang nafeel ko ang sorrounding with green, sound of the birds and the breeze of the fresh air....

vk, that is a very nice observation, and, yes, you feel it.
The drawing is made of markers and I used colored pencil for the sky, on a piece of paper.

pepe, yeah, I got yah. I used markers! LOL But for the sky I used colored pencil, since I don't have a light blue marker; I have only a few colors. At the last minute I thought...hmm...maybe, I can try my brand new markers...and...tadaaahhh. It came out okay!

ann, salamat napasyal ka. Markers lang yan sa maliit na papel--11" x 8.5"--kaya madali lang. Ang oil paint ang matagal.
