My Little House

I was at the flea market yesterday morning with my friend, Junko. I walked around the place looking for something interesting, something that would catch my fancy. There were a lot of used and some unused items. Then I found something I liked, but the vendor was asking a very steep price - $1.00. I turned to walk away. Then I said, "How about fifty cents?"

"You got it. I don't want to take it back home with me," he said. I gave him my fifty cents and picked up my little house. Then as I walked away, he said to me, "You know me. Right?"

"Yup," I said, as I stashed my purchase in my sack.

I find this little thing cute and I couldn't resist it. I have quite a collection already, and this one is unique as its top flips open.

Oh what a cutie. Looks something from the Philippines, or at least from the tropics.

Great deal.

niar,
Kangkong is called other names in other countries. Your kangkung is almost the same as ours, except for the letter u. We also cook it and in different ways: mixed with meat, with fish, or with other vegetables. I love it. It's yummy.

Okay, I'll link you.

vicki,

He he he Di ko rin alam yun nuon.

Nasa evacuation center sila ngayon. Hay, naku.

Sige, salamat sa bisita mo at comment.

okay... seeing that little box house felt like i was watching an old twilight zone episode. hehehe, that's the same project (minues the little birds on the roof) i did back in practical arts in 2nd (or was it 3rd) year high school. we had a wood/carpenrty shop in school and i made a little box in the shape of a house just like that. i copied it from my dad's old carpentry projects book dated way back in the early 70's, the kind with old newsprint as paper.

seeing the box in your picture sent shivers up my spine.

palma tayona,
