Last night, however, I could hear the rain pouring. It had come, our much needed rain of the year. We hardly have any this year and we welcome this precipitation. On the other hand, there is danger of mudslide on places ravaged by the fire, especially on the hillsides. Without any vegetation to hold the water the ground will likely slide downhill and drag with them homes.
Mist has covered the hills beyond.
When I woke up this morning, the ground was soaked by the downpour, and it was still raining. Mist has covered my little town and the hills beyond were not visible. The trees, grass, flowering plants and other vegetations were gloriously soaking in the precious water. Everything was washed down clean ...even my dusty old car parked in the driveway.

Alleluia for the rain! Just pray though that mudslides will not happen. I remember hearing news last year about a newly built million dollar house gone downhill.
Love those two birds on top of the evergreens. our minds think alike, mari, evergreens are also part of my post today. :)
Hi Mari, all I can say is that, you got a very good camera, because it has captured the jetplane lines. :)
happy thanksgiving, mari. i still remember your turducken gift from your son one thanksgiving day. did you get one again?
i love that pic with 2 black birds on the top of their world - good choice lol...

There's always a brighter tomorrow after the rain and gloomy days 'ayt?
Happy Thanksgiving to you and family, spare some roast turkey for me.
I love to watch the jet on the sky. The weather there in California is like in the Philippines no? Some part walang snow, di ba? Sa place nyo, nagso-snow ba?
i hope there'll be no mudslide *crosses fingers*
the first picture is amazing. but it would have been a lot of fun kung may message yung contrails, hahaha!
I'm happy that the weather has improved on your side of the world! Belated Happy Thanksgiving, and Advance Merry Christmas!
nance,
Yes, mudslides can drag with them anything-cars, trucks, houses.
Those are their fave spot to land on. Yeah, evergreen, I have them in my front yard...on the slope.
grace,
The contrails stay there for a while, until wind disperses them.
nini,
Alleluia!!! Thanks for coming out of your hiding. LOL No turducken this year. I had a tur...key. LOL
niar,
We're having nice weather now. No more fires.
vicki,
My Thanksgiving was fine. We have lots of leftover, so, I have turkey in the morning, turkey at noon, turkey in the evening...turkey, turkey. Sawa na ako. LOL I cut it up and stored in my freezer.
nona,
Marami akong tirang turkey. LOL Emailan kita. LOL Gumawa ako ng turkey arroz caldo...sunod turkey soup naman...turkey omelette. LOL
REDLAN,
Edwards Air Force Base is about 45 miles away, so the jet planes are always up above.
We have mild weather here. There are times it's hot, but not humid. Now that it's autumn it's a little cold. We don't have snow down here, but there are some on higher elevations - on mountain tops.
lady cess,
Thankfully, there were no mudslides. The rain lasted only a day and a half.
Sana na nga may message. I caught one once and it was a heart shaped contrail.
Dennis,
It's the last few weeks of autumn and we're still having mild weather...but, no more rain. :,-(
May you have a Merry Christmas.
I love the shots...
happy thanksgiving...sorry am late for the party:)
