Sizzle...sizzle...sizzle

We are sizzling here. This was how hot it was, 92 degrees Fahrenheit and this was at 11 AM on June 22nd. I was on my way to do some shopping and boy, was it hot already. By 2 PM, we were burning. This was not the only day it was this hot. It's been like this for days now and to this day...this very moment. There would be times the breeze would be warm as well. The only relief we would have is to duck in an air conditioned building, dive in a swimming pool or head to the beach. I would take option number 1 (one) as I'm already medium dark and can't take anymore darkness in me. That would only show my eyes as the only white, or my teeth when I open my mouth. It would make my 2 big front teeth show all the more, just like Bugs Bunny. People would start calling me and say, "What's up doc?"

Good thing, if it's a good thing, is humidity is almost zero. Sweating is to a minimum; unless one has to do some physical work that would encourage sweating, like yard work...aaargh. No way, Jose. It must be horrendous for those people who have to work outdoors.

Note: 92 degrees Fahrenheit is 33.33 degrees Celsius. The formula being: 92 - 32 (a constant number) x 5 / 9 = degrees in Celsius. The formula was easy I never realized that until now. This was Greek to me when I was in school. It seemed anything that has to do with math would automatically shut down my brain cells then. I suppose it was my paranoia of math. Does this means I have finally grown up, matured, after all this years? Hah!

How are you Mari....! I'm glad to be back here again....! The jet-lag thingy is really true, i was finishing some unfinish entries last night and i was strucked by a headache instantly ha-ha....! Nanibago lang siguro sa computer screen ko.... I hope you're doing fine yourself too, have a wonderful weekend....! =D

Hi, pepe. I am fine, thank you. Welcome back to the blogging world. Yeah, that was some kind of jet lag. We do have that from time to time.

You have a great weekend, and thanks for the visit.

I don't mind the high temperature because I can sizzle our chicken, steak and fish on the grill faster.
Yum! Yum!

tina, you're just at the opposite of what we have here...super init. Galeng kami kanina sa bay area at malamig ang hangin duon, pagbalik dito ang hangin, ay sus...ang init talaga. What a difference, 50 miles make...and to top that we live at the fringes of the desert area.

That's a good idea...lots of water...baka ma-heat stroke pa.

So you got into the dance...good. You'll get the hang of it.

Thanks for your visit and nice comments.

ebb, good for you if you don't mind the heat...sizzle with your steak then. LOL

Thanks for your visit.

so dry and hot, i hope the authorities would ban fireworks for the 4th of july celebration. can't really understand the weather pattern, like us women eh:-) texas and missouri are flooding while the rest of the country is withering.

got out of town guests this weekend, sorry for my late comment

ev, smart young lady that tina. Yes, it's summer right now. I was at the beach yesterday, but I didn't go in the water. Just strolled at the pier and boardwalk and felt the cool breeze from the ocean. It was a relief, but we have to come back to our hot...hot place.

It's always hot back home, isnt' it? Keep cool...and keep a cool head. He he he

Thanks for the visit.

nini, don't worry about the late comment. I know you're always busy, weekdays or weekends.

We were in Redondo Beach yesterday and there's a big sign prohibiting fireworks in the area. With this heat brush fires could be ignited in a second. It was a bit cool there, a little relief from the heat in the inner land. Weather and women? LOL

Guests for the weekend? Wow, business must be doing well. Hi hi hi

Thanks for the comment.

33 C C--that's hot.

What I can't understand that the temp. really sizzles year in and year out every summer and yet we could never get used to it.

On the other hand, at least madaling matuyo yung mga damit na nilabhan :)

Mari said...

jmom, yeah, let's trade. LOL Vegas in August. You are brave. I might go sometime in September or October.

Keep cool.

Thanks for your visit.

cat, yup, it's hooooot.

It's hard to adjust our body temperature when the weather changes to the extremes...it's too hot now, then too cold later. My friend said something about women and weather. I wonder what it is? Hi hi hi

Oo, nga madaling matuyo ang labada. LOL

Salamat sa bisita mo.

vk, ay, naku, sobrang init nga. Lagi ang inum ko ng ice cold water para lumamig ang katawan at di ma-dehydrate.

Hmmm...magbabad na lang sa tub at lagyan ng marami yelo.

Yeah, nothing is perfect. It's cold we complain, it's hot we complain. Argh!!!

Thanks for your comment, Vicky, and you have a good day.
